Warm Hands, Warm Hearts Hat & Mitten Drive

Help Keep Our Neighbors Warm This Winter

A warm hat, gloves or pair of mittens can make a meaningful difference during Maine’s cold winter months. From October 19 through November 16, 2026 First National Bank invites community members to take part in its Warm Hands, Warm Hearts Hat & Mitten Drive.

All First National Bank branches will accept donations of new hats, gloves and mittens for local children and families. Handmade items are welcome, too.

“At First National Bank, we believe that caring for our communities starts with looking out for one another,” said President and CEO Tony McKim. “This drive is a simple way for us to come together and make a difference. Every donation is a reminder that small acts of kindness can bring warmth to someone’s day.”

How to Donate

Bring new or handmade hats, gloves or mittens to any First National Bank branch between October 19 and November 16, 2026. Donations will help provide winter essentials to local children and families who need them most.

“We’re grateful to be part of communities where people consistently show up for one another,” said Michelle Curtis, Vice President and Community Engagement Officer. “Together, we can help make the colder months a little warmer for our neighbors.”
