First National Bank Donates $45,000 to Maine Food Pantries

First National Bank has donated $45,000 to 39 local food pantries and food access programs across its Maine market area, helping strengthen food security for families, students, older adults, and neighbors throughout the communities it serves.

The annual donations support local organizations that provide essential food resources and help families access reliable, nutritious food close to home.

“First National Bank deeply values the essential services our local food pantries provide to neighbors and families,” said Tony C. McKim, President and CEO of First National Bank. “As a Maine community bank, we are committed to supporting these vital organizations as they help expand access to food and build stronger, healthier communities.”

The 39 food pantries and food access programs receiving donations include AIO Food Pantry in Rockland; All Souls Congregational Church in Bangor; Bangor Area Homeless Shelter; Bar Harbor Food Pantry; Belfast Soup Kitchen; Beth Wright Cancer Center in Ellsworth; Boothbay Regional High School’s Food Pantry; Bread for the Journey in Warren; Bread of Life on Swan’s Island; Brewer Area Food Pantry; Calais School Department’s Backpack Program; Camden Area Christian Food Pantry; Come Spring Food Pantry in Union; Community Resource Council’s Community Fridge in Boothbay; Eastport Elementary School’s Tiny Tiger Food Pantry; Emmaus Homeless Shelter in Ellsworth; Foxcroft Academy’s Food Pantry in Dover-Foxcroft; Friendship/Cushing Food Pantry; Garrapy Food Pantry in Eastport; Good Shepherd Food Bank, Help Yourself Shelf in Wiscasset; Irene Chadbourne Food Pantry in Calais; Liberty Area Food Pantry; Little Free Food Pantry on Vinalhaven; Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Ellsworth; Magic Food Bus in Blue Hill; Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation; Shead High School’s Food Pantry in Eastport; St. George Community Cupboard; Thomaston Interchurch Fellowship; Tree of Life in Blue Hill; Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness; Waldoboro Food Pantry; Westside Food Pantry in Southwest Harbor; Whitefield Food Pantry; Wiscasset Food Pantry; and Woodland Community Food Pantry in Baileyville.
